Backstretch
Says a staffer at The Track about the conditions for backstretch workers this season, in a column by the New York Daily News' Bill Hammond: "I saw grown men crying because of the conditions ... They feel this is not human. It's unbelievable." [via Fun in Saratoga]
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

This article is a such a crock of sh*t.
I've been in and around those "hellhole dorimtories."
Another word for them might be "cottages" and they're really no different from the buildings you might pay to rent around lake george. Sure they're old as sh*t, but they're free, and close to the track.
Bitching about being close to the horse manure piles is really outrageous. If you're near the horses you're near manure. Every person who steps into the track is going to pass within a couple dozen feet of manure at some point during the day.
